Status
UNCC Japanese Animation and Manga Society is a secondary charter club at University of North Carolina at Charlotte, which means that our anime club is recognized by the University, we are able to use UNCC in the name of the club and are able to use university facilities and equipment.

Purpose
UNCC JAMS purpose is to promote anime and manga in our community. We do this with regularly scheduled anime meetings in which we show both commercially available titles as well as fan-subbed titles. These showings are free and open to the public. We also attend Japanese events in the community as well as regional anime conventions.

Memberships
Memberships are available for fall, spring and summer semesters at a cost of $5 per-semester. Membership fees help defray the cost of aquiring titles for the club library, producing flyer and newletters, as well as other minor expenses. Any expenses require club approval prior to purchase.

History
Secondary Charter was granted on Wed., April 12, 1995.
Charter Meeting was held April 26, 1995, in Rowe Arts Building, Room 115 with 25 in attendence.
