They came from beyond Saturn, so begins the story of Akito TenKawa. It begins on Mars, where Akito was working as a stocker, when the Jovian Lizard attacked. They wiped out the populous, but some how Akito survives and awakens on Earth with no memory of how he got there. He gains employment as a cook but is let go after they find out he is a cowardly pilot. Elsewhere Nergalheavy machines plans for its debut of its newest ship, the Nadesico and project Scaperelig a secretive mission. They begin to gather a crew; a crew beyond comparison, even though they have a few personality quirks. In this group we find an illegal engineer, a pilot obsessed with an antiquated anime, a former company president, a voice actress, and Yurika, the Captain who has never lost a battle simulation. On her way to the Nadesico, she and her friend Aoi run into, you guessed it, Akito. It turns out Akito is a childhood friend of Yurika's. Of course he doesn't remember this until they're gone. At the spaceport, he thinks she may know something about his parents murder., so he joins the crew of the Nadesico as a cook and things get complicated from there on in.

My opinion: This is what happens when you cross Irresponsible Captain Tylor with Babylon 5: Incredibly layered plots, humor beyond comparison, and a beautiful score. This is currently my favorite show. Watch it, Love it, Show it to friends!
